novaPDF OEM and Windows 7 Logo Compliance

Postby medenfield » Thu Feb 10, 2011 5:27 pm

Does anyone here have experience getting an application Windows 7 Logo certified while using the novaPDF OEM version? The printer installation is failing several of their logo test suite tests (including installing files in the wrong places).

I suspect these "failures" may be justifiable to Microsoft, given the nature of novaPDF as a virtual printer as opposed to a software application. But we're having trouble getting any feedback from anyone at MS about the issue.

Any information, anecdotal evidence, suggestions, etc. would be much appreciated :)

Hello,

novaPDF printer driver is not certified for Windows 7 Logo. Windows 7 Logo program has special requirements for drivers to be installed in the Driver Store and novaPDF driver is not built like this. We plan to change our driver to conform to these requirements in version 8 of novaPDF, but we will not release it in the near future.

Thank yo for understanding.
