Only for information if someone searches for similair error: The same error occurs if you have a correct version and type of the printer but install the NovaPDF printer with switch /RegisterWin32COM as a Win32 version of the COM and your application is looking for the x64 version of the COM. Yes I am.
I have found that this problem is not regarding the NovaPDF. This problem is common for all the printers on Windows 8 (virtual or physical).
