Word Search doesn't always work with pdf docs

Post by Thermal »

When I use Adobe Acrobat Reader and search for a specific word in a Novapdf file (which I know it contains) it comes back with the message "Adobe Acrobat Reader has finished searching document. No matches found." And yet I can see the word there on the screen. This doesn't always happen. I am trying to figure out when "search" works and when it doesn't. I just printed to Novapdf a webpage and it can't find anything on it. I increased resolution to 600 dpi but that didn't help. The main reason I bought Novapdf was so I could search articles for specific subjects and phrases. Has anyone else had this problem? I am a new user so maybe I am doing something wrong?? Thanks in advance.

The pdf was created from an image, maybe you used a scanned document to print it to novaPDF. You have to print to PDF from a regular searchable document to have the result searchable as well.
