Written signatures get black background instead of white

Postby bart79 » Wed Sep 02, 2015 5:51 pm

Hi,

A client of mine is using NovaPDF 8 for about a month now. He uses it to create PDF files containing selections of pages from other PDF files and Word documents by using the append to existing PDF option.

The problem he experiences is that when he tries to create a PDF from a page that contains a written signature, the PDF created by NovaPDF shows the signature with a black background instead of white. It seems that each closed loop in the signature is given a solid black color instead of white like in the original document. I've tried many different compression settings but they all give the same result. This is really annoying since most of the documents my client processes contain written signatures.

Is there a setting he needs to use to prevent this or is this a bug?

Kind regards,
Bart

Hi,
Can you look at the signature file and see if it has a transparent background as that might be the problem.
