I tried to use the NovaPDF 7, desktop version to convert a Publisher 2003 file into the pdf-format. Unfortunately, all the colored background became a textured grey and made the text in these boxes unreadable. How can I create the identical background color in the pdf-file ?

Please send us an e-mail with the Publisher file in question and also the novaPDF version and build used for the conversion so we can troubleshoot this and find the issue.
