MS Word Text Box Transparency Issue

There seems to be an issue with the novaPDF SDK when converting shapes or text boxes from MS Word with a transparency as, a 50% white transparency results in a solid black background.

Hi Ken,
You are right, there is a problem with text boxes that have transparency however we don't have a fix for this yet.

I am also experiencing this issue when printing from electronic medical record applications that display items in a table format to the novaPDF OEM build 7.7.387. Is this likely related? when the customer tries another pdf printer it does not black out every other line.

Is there an estimate on when a fix will be available?

Hi Zach,
Sorry, we don't have an estimate for when this fix would be incorporated. What you can do is try to switch from a transparent object to a full color one.
