NovaPDF OEM in Windows XP
NovaPDF OEM in Windows XP
Hi,
After installing (oem version novapv.exe) on the Virtual PC with Windows XP SP3 does not appear to PDF printer.
During installation, no errors appeared.
If I install the Nova PDF desktop lite, everything is fine and the printer is properly displayed.
Thank you
Miro

Re: NovaPDF OEM in Windows XP
Hello,
We have tried to replicate the issue but the novaPDF OEM is installed successfully with the printer showing in the list.
Please try to completely uninstall the application by following this tutorial: http://www.novapdf.com/kb/how-do-i-rein ... r-108.html
After uninstalling, download and install the latest version from our website (should be 7.4.365) and it should be fine.
Thank you.

Hello,
We have tested this on exactly the same environment: Virtual PC with Win XP SP3 and all the updates and the application is installed successfully.
Can you tell me if you had a previous novaPDF version installed on the machine before installing this one?
The files you need to check for when uninstalling are from this tutorial:

Re: NovaPDF OEM in Windows XP
Hi,
my Windows xp is CZ version.
All directories:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\
C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86
C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3
is blank from nova files.
The installation process takes place OK
However, I do not see printer.
What should I check after installation?

Re: NovaPDF OEM in Windows XP
Hello,
For us to better understand and troubleshoot this behavior we would like to ask you to make these steps from your end:
1. Make another clean installation of novaPDF but this time with the log parameter /InstallLog added from the command line. The installation would be like this in the command prompt: "your path to the installation file"\novapv.exe /InstallLog
2. When the installation will be completed, a file named novaPDFInstall.log will appear in the c:\ path
3. Send us the log file mentioned at our support address at [email protected] so we can see what went wrong when installing.
Thank you.

Re: NovaPDF OEM in Windows XP
Hi,
were you able to resolve the problem installing the redistributable of the SDK?
I have exactly the same issue on some of my customers PCs with Windows XP. The installer has version 7.4.363. On other PCs with Windows XP it installs without problems. Other printers can be installed without problems. Previously there was the version 7.1.335 installed, it was uninstalled and than I installed the new version.
Please, let me know.
best regards
Toni Santa
