Printing a PDF makes it much larger

So we frequently have users print PDFs to import them into our database. The printed version we get from NovaPDF is about 3 times larger than the source PDF, even with compression and downsampling to 96 dpi. I assume that this is the nature of running it through a print driver, but is there anything we can do to get the native PDF passed through directly?

Hi, unfortunately that will happen you print an existing PDF to a new PDF, the size will grow. Smaller size only if you print from the original source document.
