Can't reactivate NovaPDF after update

Today I installed the most recent NovaPDF update, and now NovaPDF reports that my license is active on another computer. It is not.

A few weeks ago, I did have to clone my boot drive, which was failing, to a new SSD. Could that be why the activation software "thinks" the software is active on another computer? In any case, that original SSD is now dead and I do not have this license active on another computer.

How can I re-activate the product? I tried installing again and leaving "deactivate" checked, and then reinstalling, but apparently your activation server still "thinks" the software is active on the "ghost" computer.
